The Sultan Qaboos Air Academy at the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) conducted Monday the practical demonstration of a tactical exercise codenamed “Shams 33” for officer candidates, as well as a limited service course and a university officers’ course.

The ceremony took place in the Exercise Zone in the Governorate of North Al Batinah under the auspices of RAFO Commander Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, who listened to a briefing about the practical demonstration and the objectives of the training, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

In another development, Commodore Mohammed Hamoud Al Zedjali, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received at Al Murtafaa garrison (MAM) last week the Commander of the Chinese Navy Fleet (156) and his accompanying military delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on several naval matters of mutual interest.
