The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France concluded last week their joint military exercise (Humaimat 2015), which was held with the participation of units from the Emirati and French ground forces.

Both the UAE and French forces showed a high level of professionalism and high efficiency in combat operations by using the latest equipment and displaying the best means used in fighting and combat techniques during the various phases of war.

The exercise reflects the advanced level of military cooperation between the UAE and French armed forces, built on solid foundations for several decades. This stems from the close ties between the two countries.

It also demonstrated the combat abilities of both sides and the level of coordination and integration between them.

At last week’s Dubai Air Show (08-12 November), GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industry Association, accompanied close to 30 French companies which showcased their products and technologies. This number comprises not only large integrators, but also equipment manufacturers and SMEs. Companies involved into MRO were also present in the delegation. More French companies took part at the Dubai Air Show on their own stand. This large presence places the French aerospace industry as the first European presence of the Show.

French companies federated by GIFAS included: Air Cost Control,  BeAM, Composite Industrie, Daher, Dassault Systèmes, DCI, Dedienne Aerospace, Erte Bowen, Eurep Industries, Factem, Finaero, GMI Aero, Lacroix, Latecoere, Nyco, Price Induction, Revima Group, Sabena Technics, SDV, Thales et Tubesca Comabi.

Furthermore Airbus Group was present with its own pavilion and well known France based companies such as Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, ATR, Dassault Aviation, MBDA and Safran were also present on their own stand.
