The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the second edition of the Arab International Cybersecurity (AICS) Conference and Exhibition, under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
The two-day event will open on December 5 at the Exhibition World Bahrain. In a statement on this occasion, Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, stressed the importance of cybersecurity as a pillar of national security and economic development.
“Bahrain's security and prosperity depend on a secure ICT infrastructure”, said Lt. General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, noting that the upcoming conference and exhibition are in line with the national cybersecurity strategy, and aim to explore new technology, learn and deal with the development of global cyberspace, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The Arab International Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity issues and major innovations and build a strong foundation for the security of the digital world.
The event provides a platform for cybersecurity experts to exchange knowledge and practices, learn about the latest trends in cybersecurity and solutions, and review the latest technologies in the field of cyber security from leading companies and institutions.
The upcoming conference and exhibition also provides an opportunity for participants to learn, communicate and share their experiences and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, which represents an ideal platform for anyone interested in the cybersecurity sector to attend the event in Bahrain in December 2023.
As the largest convention of its kind in the region, the AICS will bring together government regulators, industry professionals, and solution providers at to discuss and develop plans to secure their cyber and IT infrastructure. The summit will provide an international perspective on the full spectrum of cybersecurity and information security, according to the organizers Cyber News Global.
Co-hosted by Bahrain’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), this event will have the highest level of engagement in the region, with participation from government, industry, and business verticals such as BFSI, oil & gas, energy, utilities, IT & telecom, manufacturing, education, and more.
