Bahrain International Airport Police Directorate won the award for the best procedures in security airport in the Middle East, through the assessment issued by Airports Council International (ACI) for the second quarter of 2023.

Colonel Ahmed Jasim Al Hitaimi, Director-General of Ports Security, affirmed that the award was an achievement resulted from the development and modernisation strategy adopted by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Interior Minister, and the follow-up by Lt. General Tariq bin Hasan Al Hasan, Chief of Public Security, to improve the performance of the ministry's employees and provide the best services to the public.

The Director-General expressed his appreciation to all employees of Bahrain International Airport Police Directorate, officers and individuals, praising their efforts and hard work, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Colonel Duaij Al Kuwari, Director of Bahrain International Airport Police, stressed that the award was achieved thanks to the continuous efforts and internal audits of the Airport Police Directorate.
