Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz held talks Thursday with French Minister of Interior and Overseas Gérald Darmanin.

Prince Abdulaziz greeted Darmanin and his delegation as they arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that the meeting was organized in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen security cooperation, given the longstanding relationship between the two friendly nations, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

During the session, the focus was on exploring avenues to strengthen the current security cooperation between the Interior Ministries of both countries. Additionally, various topics of mutual interest were discussed.

A joint plan for various initiatives and cooperation projects was signed between the Interior Ministries of both countries. The talks saw the participation of officials from both the Saudi and French sides.

In another development, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived Thursday in the German city of Munich at the head of the Saudi delegation to the Munich Security Conference 2024.

The Saudi delegation will discuss the most prominent international challenges and ways of enhancing multilateral action to contribute to strengthening international peace and security. The delegation members will also hold bilateral meetings with heads of delegations from other countries and the most prominent figures attending the conference.
