The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the start of its Future Leaders Program in its fifth installment.  The registration would be for men for the current year 2019 and will last until the 25th of May.

GACA went on to explain that the program aim is to train and qualify twenty Saudi trainees who have recently graduated with a bachelor degree in Aviation Science, Aviation Safety, Airport Administration, Aviation Management and Airport Safety.  The accepted nominees will work in specialized fields of operation at various airports around the Kingdom.  

This is part of GACA’s efforts to keep abreast of the future developments and the importance it attaches to this creative industry and to raise the level of efficiency, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Future Leaders Program seeks to fine-tune trainees in accordance with the highest standards and to provide them with distinguished training. This is in addition to gaining the experience and skills that they need to apply in the work place after graduating. A complete integrated and structured plan has been designed, which includes, theoretical training, on-the-job training.   All trainees will be subjected to continuous assessments at each stage of the process.

The applicants must be Saudi nationals, holder of bachelor’s degrees and recent graduate from a recognized university. Applicants should not exceed 26 years of age, and  must have their degrees accredited by the Ministry of Education for those who gain their degrees from outside the Kingdom, and that their GPA should be no less than (B) (3 out of 4). Their English proficiency exam should be (TOEFL IBT 61), or an ILETS score of (5), or (STEP 83).  This in addition of them meeting all program criteria and passing all the interviews determined by GACA, as well as passing the medical exam.

GACA went on to explain that the trainees would receive a benefits package including a rewarding monthly bonus during the program period for six months. The program will include training and qualifying them in both theoretical and scientific aspects, in addition to medical insurance provided by GACA, after graduation and passing the specific program period (6 month) successfully. Upon graduating, the trainees will be placed on the approved salary scale of GACA and will be granted all the allowances and other benefits in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of GACA.

It is worth mention that GACA has allocated the previous batch of the Future Leader Program in its entirety to women. This is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and GACA keenness to empower Saudi women by increasing their participation rate in the labor market and by creating equal opportunities for the sons and daughters of this great nation.
