Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unveiled a new underground missile city, further expanding its vast network of fortified facilities where various domestically built missiles stand ready for launch against adversaries.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Tuesday with the presence of Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri and Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.

Footage from the event showcased a vast underground complex housing thousands of advanced ballistic missiles, including the Kheybar Shekan, Martyr Haj Qassem, Qadr-H, Sejjil, and Emad, highlighting Iran’s expanding missile capabilities.

The use of underground missile cities has enhanced Iran’s flexibility in both defensive and offensive strategies, Fars News Agency (FNA) reported.

These facilities allow for the secure deployment and relocation of missiles, keeping them out of enemy sight while enabling various operational scenarios for Iran’s Armed Forces.

Additionally, the integration of rapid launch systems, multi-angle firing capabilities, and deception tactics strengthens Iran’s missile power against modern threats, increasing its ability to execute precise and surprise attacks.

In another development, Iran’s Army Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari labeled the country’s borders as Tehran’s red line, stressing that maintaining the border’s security and stability is one of the highest priorities of his troops.

Brig. General Heidari said on Monday Iran will tolerate no threat against its territorial integrity and national security, adding, “the country’s borders are our red line and maintaining their security is one of the highest priorities of the Army Ground Force.”

He said the constant presence of the border guards would act as a bulwark against threats, adding, “this is a source of pride for the Armed Forces and the Iranian nation.”

Heidari asserted that his forces are always ready to confront any threat and challenge using advanced equipment and constant training.
