Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shariaan, received on Monday the United Kingdom’s Senior Defense Adviser for Middle East Affairs, Vice Admiral Edward Algren, along with his accompanying delegation, during their visit to Kuwait.
In a press statement issued by the Army General Staff, Al-Shariaan highlighted the deep historical ties between Kuwait and the United Kingdom and stressed the continuous development of military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting covered several topics of mutual interest, particularly those related to military collaboration and ways to enhance and strengthen it.
The session was attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and a number of senior army officers.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, accompanied by a high-level delegation, arrived in the United Kingdom Monday on an official visit, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Upon arrival, His Highness was welcomed at the airport by Adele Taylor, Special Representative of the UK Minister of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs; Kuwaiti Ambassador to the UK Bader Al-Munaikh; Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah and the heads of Kuwaiti offices accredited to the UK.
