Embraer returns to the Paris Air Show this year to showcase its commercial, defense, sustainability, and technology platforms. One of the highlights of the static display area is the KC-390 from the Portuguese Air Force, the first NATO customer to operate the aircraft, that is making its debut in Paris. Visit Embraer at Chalet #300 and Pavilion #B-8. A second KC-390, in the Brazilian Air Force livery, will be on static display and will participate in the flight display during the event.

“We are extremely excited to be back at the Paris Air Show this year to showcase our amazing portfolio of products, services and solutions geared towards efficiency and advanced technology,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer.

“Embraer is ready to grow in a sustainable way, and I’m happy to confirm that our aircraft performing flight displays at the show will be flying on a blend of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, highlighting our commitment to a more sustainable future and alignment with our renewable energy goals,” he added.

About Embraer

A global aerospace company headquartered in Brazil, Embraer has businesses in Commercial and Executive aviation, Defense & Security and Agricultural Aviation. The company designs, develops, manufactures and markets aircraft and systems, providing Services & Support to customers after-sales.

Since it was founded in 1969, Embraer has delivered more than 8,000 aircraft. On average, about every 10 seconds an aircraft manufactured by Embraer takes off somewhere in the world, transporting over 145 million passengers a year.

Embraer Commercial Aviation

Embraer’s E-Jets E2 family of aircraft, the E190-E2 and E195-E2, are the most fuel-efficient single aisle aircraft flying today, delivering the lowest operating costs and highest yields for airlines, more comfort for passengers and space for their bags, smallest noise footprint and less impact on the environment. All flights at Paris will be powered by sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) blend.

Last year, the Pratt & Whitney GTF-powered E195-E2 was successfully tested on 100% SAF, validating that the E-Jets E2 family can fly on both engines with blends of up to 100% SAF without any compromise to safety or performance. Today, the E2 emits 25% fewer CO2 emissions compared to previous generation aircraft; this reduction can be increased to 85% with SAF.

Embraer’s Defense & Security

Embraer Defense & Security products and solutions are present in more than 60 countries and include the multi-mission C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft and the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced trainer aircraft, which will be on display at the Paris Air Show.

The C-390 aircraft was first delivered to the Brazilian Air Force in 2019 and has proven its capability, reliability, and outstanding performance on domestic and overseas missions, as well as its ability to quickly respond to emergency or humanitarian situations. The aircraft has already been acquired by Portugal and Hungary and selected by the Netherlands.

The A-29 is in operation by more than 15 air forces and has accumulated about 500,000 flight hours, including approximately 60,000 combat hours.

Sustainability at Embraer

For over 20 years, Embraer has been working on and developing green initiatives to make aircraft cleaner and quieter to contribute to the aviation industry’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. Embraer aims to be carbon neutral by 2040 and achieve carbon neutral growth from 2022. It plans to implement 25% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) use in its operations by 2040 and 100% renewable energy sources by 2030.

The company has a recognized track record of innovation in sustainable fuels, which includes the industry’s first certified ethanol-powered aircraft in 2004. Working closely with its customers and partners, the company has been continually enhancing the efficiency and performance of its current and future products. The E2 family of jets, for example, is targeted to be compatible with 100% SAF before 2030.
