Kuwait has bestowed upon a group of French Gulf War veterans an honorary order in recognition of their contributions towards liberation from Iraqi invasion, its Embassy in Paris said.
Amid a lavish ceremony in France’s northernmost region of Hauts-de-France, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Paris Mohammad Al-Judai attached an emblem of Kuwait’s “Liberation Order” to the group’s flag in a gesture of appreciation for France’s “immense role” in liberating Kuwait, the statement underlined.
The move is also emblematic of the “depth of bilateral relations,” added the statement, in addition to France’s unflinching support for Kuwaiti liberation and independence, it said. (Source & Photo © Kuwait Embassy in Paris/KUNA)
