At Indo Defence ( Jakarta, Indonesia; 5-8 November 2014), Rohde & Schwarz is presenting itself as a single source of integrated solutions for secure communications and radio intelligence.
The modular R&S C²UBE command and control (C2) system is a new addition to the company's portfolio. It is based on the R&S SDTR software defined tactical radio and enables high data rate, jam-resistant and network capable radiocommunications for realtime mobile presentation of the operational picture. Network centric operations, for example, can be independently ensured via tactical radiocommunications during crisis situations in minimal time.
When it comes to shock resistance, size and weight, the R&S SDTR is optimized for use in military vehicles and semi mobile applications. An external control unit ensures user friendly configuration and operation while providing users the best possible support as they carry out their missions. The R&S SDTR, together with the new R&S HDR waveform family, is fully IP-capable and can be easily and seamlessly integrated into existing IP networks.
The R&S SDTR is an open platform based on the software communications architecture (SCA) standard. Both standardized and proprietary waveforms can be ported to the radio, which enables interoperability with allied forces as required during missions. The security concept of the R&S SDTR provides users with secure, reliable communications they can trust.
Other highlights include the new R&S DDF5GTS high-speed scanning direction finder, which enables fast and comprehensive radio spectrum monitoring and DF measurements. This multichannel direction finder complements the tried and tested Rohde & Schwarz portfolio of networked direction finding and radiolocation systems and is designed for use in especially demanding scenarios. Its high scan speed, sensitivity and DF accuracy make the R&S DDF5GTS ideal for comprehensive signal acquisition in dense electromagnetic environments. A large selection of innovative antennas offers more than flexibility; it ensures ideal results under difficult conditions.
Rohde & Schwarz is also showcasing its integrated naval communications systems in Jakarta. They have proven their value in international missions and are currently in use on a number of Indonesian platforms. Newly designed shipboard antenna systems provide special space-saving solutions that integrate C-ESM and R-ESM acquisition antennas as well as communications antennas.
