Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Sunday discussed with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Dan Caine, military cooperation and coordination between the two countries’ Armed Forces.

The discussions covered various operational, training, and logistical areas aimed at serving both Armies’ “strategic” interests.

Talking at the meeting, Huneiti highlighted the “deep-rooted and longstanding” partnership, commending the level of joint coordination and the consistent support provided by the United States, which enables the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army to fulfill their duties “effectively” amid diverse challenges.

Caine, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the JAF’s “vital” role in promoting security and stability across the region, Petra news agency reported.

Caine also reiterated the United States’ “commitment” to maintaining “close” cooperation with Jordan to advance shared interests and contribute to regional and global security.

Senior JAF officers and the US Defense Attaché in Amman attended the meeting.
