Meggitt Training Systems announced the European debut of its recently released FATS® 100e virtual training system will take place at ITEC 2016 in London from 17-19 May, 2016.
Meggitt released the enhanced training system in late 2015, leveraging the best technologies to meet current and future small arms training requirements. Meggitt representatives will be available for demonstrations of FATS 100e at the show.
“Training requirements and budgetary challenges are becoming more rigorous. The new and enhanced FATS 100e system offers cutting-edge training solutions that will be invaluable to our customers, and we’re proud to be demonstrating the system’s capabilities at ITEC,” said Larry Raines, Vice President, Virtual Systems at Meggitt Training Systems.
The new FATS 100e system solution is an extension of the proven and popular FATS M100 and a major expansion in weapons training capability, introducing new features such as Crytek-based 3D marksmanship, automatic coaching and VBS3-based collective training. The 3D marksmanship provides visually realistic and highly detailed terrains and targets, including weather, and striking visual effects including wind-blown environments, birds in flight, dirt splashes and explosions. Automatic coaching has never been available in the small-arms training market, and VBS3-based collective training is new to the training system.
“FATS 100e offers unmatched training advancements based upon solutions to US Army and US Marine Corps instructional requirements. The technological developments we’ll be showcasing at ITEC 2016 will meet the needs of combat forces worldwide,” said Winn Hines, Director of Virtual Sales at Meggitt Training Systems.
The new system provides an impressive array of functionality for both instructor and trainee, delivering solid weapon handling and shot placement analytics, coaching tools that automatically highlight trainee results for reinforcement or correction, and enhanced graphic capabilities for an all-encompassing immersive training platform.
