The US Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District said it has awarded $3.8 billion worth of contracts to 14 firms on behalf of the Transatlantic Division and the Army Corps of Engineers.

The Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs) support design-build and construction projects throughout the 20 countries of US Central Command's area of responsibility, said a statement from US Army Corps of Engineers.

The countries include Afghanistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.

The awardees, listed below, are guaranteed a minimum $10,000 and the right to compete for individual task orders for up to $3.8 billion in work.

The period of performance is a base of 2 calendar years from award, and up to 3 one-year option years, the statement added.

The contract was competed using a full and open, unrestricted process in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.

The firms which clinched the MATOC deals include: Amec Earth & Environmental, CH2M Hill - Yuksel JV, American International Contractors, Contrack International, Anham - ICSS JV, ECC Centcom Constructors, Bryan 77 Construction JV, Innovative Technical Solutions, BYA ACI-Slig JV, Kellogg Brown & Root Services, Caddell/Enka JV, Lakeshore Toltest JV, CDM/Cape JV and Perini Management Services.

This process provides a fair and impartial evaluation of the proposals received from all proposers, and the final selection was based upon the Government's evaluation of all criteria established for this MATOC, the statement added.
