13.08.2013 North America
The United States Air Force has awarded Harris Corporation the Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) Application Services contract, enabling Harris to compete for a wide range of IT services projects.
Harris was one of six companies awarded the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that has a total potential value of $960 million over a three-year base period and four one-year options.
NETCENTS-2 enables the Air Force to acquire a wide range of IT products and services support, including sustainment, migration, integration, training, help desk, testing and program operations. Harris is expected to help the Air Force sustain its legacy systems, migrate to new systems, and develop new mission capabilities.
“The Air Force operates at the cutting edge of technology, and we are excited to work in such a challenging environment. We will offer the most effective and efficient services available and partner with the Air Force to stay ahead of its evolving IT requirements,” said Wayne Lucernoni, President, Harris IT Services.
