Thales at I/ITSEC 2013
03.12.2013 North America
From training equipment to turnkey training services, Thales leads the way in training applications. The group is participating at I/ITSEC 2013, the world’s largest modeling, simulation and training conference (2-5 December 2013; Orlando, Florida).
Wherever people are operating in critical environments, Thales ensures they achieve and maintain the highest possible capability in the shortest possible time. Using simulation-based and enhanced live training solutions, Thales’s innovations are enduring, adaptable, scalable and affordable.
At I/ITSEC, Thales is showcasing several ground-breaking solutions:
First and foremost is Thales’ simulated military operation, showcasing a realistic scenario designed by military experts. Achieved by the interlinking of a network of simulators including a Flight Tactical Combat Simulator, a command land platform simulator, an air-to-air refueling station and a UAS mission trainer, Thales will demonstrate a system designed to solve the unique critical training challenges faced by combined forces in modern theaters.
Also showcased is the Combat Training System, which utilizes the full spectrum of military operations in a digitized battlespace environment. The system is designed as a collective training solution to serve the requirements of combined land forces, from individual soldiers to vehicle crews and convoys and ground force units, from platoon up to battalion level.
Thales’s world-leading capabilities in motion tracking systems is also on display with two demonstrations. One will utilize hybrid inertial/ultrasonic technology for position tracking. The other combines virtual binoculars with a hybrid inertial/optical technology developed to track head motion in operational aircraft as well as simulators (fixed and motion base). This second system will be demonstrated alongside Thales’s Scorpion Helmet Mounted Cueing System.
