His Majesty King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security of the United States of America, at Al Sakhir Palace.
His Majesty and the US Secretary of Homeland Security discussed the close bilateral relations and efforts to continue advancing them to serve shared goals and aspirations.
HM the King expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in the longstanding and distinguished relations with the United States, underpinned by a strong partnership and ongoing coordination.
HM King Hamad noted the progress of bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including security, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
Furthermore, HM the King commended the efforts of the United States in promoting regional security and stability and advancing global peace.
The meeting included discussions on regional and international developments, and matters of mutual interest.
On her part, the US Security expressed her appreciation to HM the King for the generous hospitality, and commended His Majesty’s role in strengthening Bahraini-American relations and advancing cooperation. She also commended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position in supporting regional peace and security efforts.
In another development, Field Marshal His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of Bahrain’s National Guard, received Monday Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Muqrin Al Ameri, Commander of the UAE National Guard.
Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, the National Guard Staff Director, was present.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa highlighted the deep-rooted Bahraini-Emirati relations and underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in military and defence domains.
The meeting reviewed cooperation and coordination between the Bahraini and Emirati National Guards through the exchange of expertise in training and related areas.
On his part, Major General Al Amiri highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and the UAE. He underscored his country’s commitment to intensifying efforts to deepen and expand these relations at all levels, under the guidance of the leadership of both nations.
Furthermore, Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, the National Guard Staff Director, also received Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Muqrin Al Ameri, Commander of the UAE National Guard.
The Chief of Staff underscored the longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, founded on a history of unity, solidarity, and shared destiny. He commended the strong cooperation across multiple sectors, noting its continued contribution to the prosperity of both countries and their peoples.
The meeting featured a briefing outlining the duties and responsibilities of the Bahrain National Guard. The two sides also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation, explored ways to enhance joint coordination, and reviewed several topics of mutual interest.
Lt. General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud highlighted the importance of military partnership and coordination, expressing Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the UAE National Guard.
