The U.S. Air Force Sustainment Center and Northrop Grumman Corporation recently signed an enterprise public-private partnership agreement that establishes terms and conditions for future weapon system sustainment activities between the Air Force and Northrop Grumman.

The agreement applies to all work between the Air Force Sustainment Center and Northrop Grumman and is expected to significantly improve efficiency by reducing the time and cost associated with agreement negotiations. Implementation agreements for specific projects will be created and managed at lower levels of the Air Force Sustainment Center and within Northrop Grumman.

“This agreement is an example of the type of robust partnerships needed to ensure we have the right warfighting capability in the right place at the right time,” said Lt. Gen. Bruce Litchfield, Air Force Sustainment Center Commander.

“This partnership enables us not only to improve efficiency and reduce the cost of operations, but it also allows the Air Force to grow its organic capability, while leveraging capabilities across the industrial complex to provide world-class sustainment support to the warfighter,” he added.

“This partnership builds on Northrop Grumman's strong relationship with the Air Force, and enables us to leverage the best of public and private core competencies to improve the sustainment of Air Force warfighting capabilities. By working together as a team, we're able to be more effective in supporting our warfighters,” commented Chris Jones, Corporate Vice President and President, Northrop Grumman Technical Services.

Headquartered at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, the Air Force Sustainment Center is one of six specialized centers assigned to the Air Force Materiel Command. Its mission is to sustain weapon system readiness to generate airpower for America.

With more than 32,000 men and women assigned, the center provides war-winning expeditionary capabilities to the warfighter through world-class depot maintenance, supply chain management, weapons sustainment and installation support.

Northrop Grumman is a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions in unmanned systems, cyber, C4ISR, and logistics and modernization to government and commercial customers worldwide.
