ADEX 2016, the 2nd Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition will be held from 27 to 30 September 2016 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

ADEX is a unique platform for the development of strategic partnerships within the rapidly emerging markets of the Caucasus, Central Asia, the CIS and the Middle East.

Azerbaijan plans to increase defense spending in 2016 by 21.3% (391 million manats).

Defense spending for the approved budget 2016 budget had been predicted to be 1.838 billion Manats (US$ 1.18 billion).

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had attended the first Azerbaijan International Defense Industry Exhibition – ADEX 2014.

ADEX 2014 welcomed 200 companies from 34 countries and 8 national groups from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Korea, Poland, Israel and Ukraine had set up their displays at the exhibition. 

Total exhibiting area of ADEX’s first edition in 2014 reached 15,005 square meters,
and the event attracted 6,421 trade visitors, according to the organizers.

ADEX 2014 event had been classified by exhibitors & professional visitors as one of the most important international events with the participation of the foreign delegations, including representatives from Ministries and Forces Chiefs.

In 2014, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade Minister of Defense of Turkey Ismet Yilmaz, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and other VIP guests visited ADEX. In addition, 23 official delegations from 20 countries, and high level delegations headed by Defense Ministers, Defense Secretaries and Services Chiefs visited this event.
