Oman’s Defense Minister Visits Narashino Air Base in Japan

Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al-Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defense Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, and his accompanying delegation visited Narashino Air Base (photo) within the framework of his official visit to Japan.

Sayyid Badr and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the base, its assignments, roles and duties, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

He also viewed the Japanese ballistic missile defense system used protect its skies and lands.

Present at the visit was Dr. Mohammed bin Said al-Busaidi, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Japan.

Earlier, the Omani Minister Responsible for Defense Affairs and his accompanying delegation visited the Advanced Defense Technology Center in Tokyo.

They were briefed by the Center’s Director on the Center’s capabilities and work mechanisms, as well as the advanced defensive technical equipment provided by the Center in cooperation with private companies.

They were also briefed on the Center’s technical research department, electronic and simulation systems, services and achievements in the scientific and research field.

After that, the Minister Responsible for Defense Affairs and his accompanying delegation toured some of the Center’s departments and facilities.
