Nexter, a KNDS company, European leader in land defense, is present at the I/ITSEC exhibition from 2 to 6 December 2019, Orlando, Florida, USA. Architect and system integrator, Nexter is showcasing its know-how by proposing solutions, equipment, and ammunition that meet the needs of security forces.
The Nexter Group Nexter offers versatile, reliable and innovative solutions that meet the operational requirements of its customers. The group has a range going from armored vehicles to artillery systems and also masters strategic sub-assemblies, such as weapon systems and ammunition or robots and embedded electronic systems.
Nexter is able to support its products throughout their life cycle by offering a wide range of support solutions and services, as well as Maintenance in Operational Conditions. Nexter is fully mobilized to meet the challenges of the SCORPION program, through the development of the new VBMR-GRIFFON armored vehicles (in production), EBRC-JAGUAR, Lightweight VBMR-SERVAL, the renovation of LECLERC MBTs and the future SCORPION increments.
Nexter has a strong international presence, with numerous recent export successes, such as the CAESAR® 8x8 sold to the Royal Danish Army, the CaMo program with Belgium and the TITUS® armored vehicle acquired by the Czech Republic. The group continues to develop its commercial presence throughout the world and had 52% of export orders booked in 2018.
A major player in terrestrial innovation, Nexter is presenting in Orlando its interactive and integrated digital solutions for optimized operational readiness. Operational information systems, ground robots, military decision support tools, tactical vehicle trainers for on-board combat and helmets connected for landed combat can thus be used individually or interconnected for both operational engagement and simulated training. Nexter is therefore presenting a global operational preparation system at I/ITSEC 2019, consisting of the following elements:
- FINDMP®, a tool dedicated to tactical thinking, is a digital sand box used for mission planning and operations management. It can be connected to an operational information system and a tactical trainer.
- Tactical trainer: virtual trainer for crew members and equipped with an innovative augmented reality helmet, allowing to reproduce a virtual environment through head-up displays. Connected to FINDMP®, this simulator allows crews to acquire the necessary know-how to use real weapon systems.
- FINDERS C2®: operational information system for combat units up to the battalion level. FINDERS C2® allows you to plan, track and share maneuvers in real time throughout the entire chain of command: tactical information (orders, reports, requests) and reference tactical situation (friends, enemies, terrain, logistics).
- FINDADFI®: system consisting of a modular exo-helmet (adaptable to any type of existing helmet without any modification) equipped with functional modules (plug & play) coupled to a display. This system is designed to provide tactical information to the machine commander or the landed soldier. Find Nexter and its experts on stand 2836. About Nexter Nexter, the leading French land defense company and third European player in the ammunition sector
Nexter is also present at the EXPODEFENSA exhibition from 2 to 4 December 2019, Bogota, Colombia.
EXPODEFENSA is an opportunity for Nexter to present its know-how in artillery, medium-caliber systems, ammunition and robots. Artillery and ammunition are in the spotlight for this edition of Defense & Security. Visitors have the opportunity to discover or rediscover CAESAR® 6x6 in 1/10 format, as well as a model of the 105LG. CAESAR® 6x6 is a wheeled 155mm/52 self-propelled artillery system. Capable of firing 6 shots in less than a minute, very fast to deploy, it makes any attempt at counter-battery fire ineffective. Combat Proven, he impressed thanks to its formidable precision against Daesh, within the Task Force Wagram, where he led more than 2500 fire missions.
The 105LG is a 105mm towed artillery gun, qualified by the French army and in use in six armies around the world, including Colombia. With a maximum range of 17 km, it can be towed by a light vehicle, transported by a medium helicopter (e.g. PUMA or Bell 212) or parachuted by a tactical transport aircraft (e.g. C130- Hercules). This extreme mobility, allowed by its low weight (1650 kg), allows it to be deployed in any theatre of operation, however complex it may be (jungle, forest, assembly...). A crew of 5 men is enough to make it operational very quickly (put in battery in 30 seconds) and to fire at a rate of at least 12 shots per minute.
The medium calibers are also available with a range of 20mm guns, including the SH20 door-mounting for helicopters, the NC621 pod for helicopters and light aircraft, the 20mm P20 mounted gun that can be installed at the rear of any 4x4 and easily deployed on the ground on a tripod, and the NARWHAL® 20mm remote-controlled weapon system.
Nexter is also presenting the FINDART® firing control and command system and the NERVA® mini-robots range, with a selection of payloads. Compact, robust and reliable, NERVA® is the ideal tool for a wide range of missions, from reconnaissance to mine clearance. It allows high-risk missions to be carried out without exposing operators.
