Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, met Friday in Washington, D.C., with the United States Secretary of Defense H E Lloyd Austin.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral military relations between the two countries, ways to strengthen them, and the latest regional developments, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs also met with the U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security H.E. Ronald Moultrie. They reviewed the bilateral military relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
Earlier, the Qatari guest met with the U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security Ronald Moultrie.

All three meetings were attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States of America H.E. Sheikh Meshaal bin Hamad Al-Thani, H.E. the Commander of the Amiri Air Force Staff Major General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Aqeel Al-Nabit, and a number of senior officers in the Qatari armed forces.
Meanwhile, Chief-of-Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) H.E. Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem met in Doha Thursday with Commander of the US Central Command in the Middle East General HE Kenneth McKenzie.
During the meeting, they reviewed the existing bilateral military relations between the two friendly countries, and ways to enhance them.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers in the Armed Forces.
