INVISIO (Sweden) has received an additional order amounting to SEK 13 m from a leading Military Radio Manufacturer, as previously reported on the 22nd of November 2012.

The additional order is for the INVISIO V60 Communication System and is delivered to the Armed Forces of a NATO country.

At the end of November, INVISIO received its largest order ever of SEK 19 m. An additional order is now closed and the total order value thus amounts to SEK 32 m.

The INVISIO V60 is a new advanced tactical communication and hearing protection system for modern military forces.

With INVISIO V60 the user gets a very light, compact and flexible communication system with built-in hearing protection and full 360 degree situational awareness. The system provides crystal-clear communication even in the most extreme and noisy conditions.

On today's military battlefield efficient communication is essential for reducing risk for the soldier and ensuring mission success. Therefore, INVISIO has developed the advanced tactical communication system INVISIO V60, which provides full radio functionality, crystal-clear communication and hearing protection for a variety of mission scenarios, for both mounted and dismounted soldiers.

“INVISIO V60 is designed to meet the demanding requirements that modern military forces have on tactical communication systems”, said Lars Højgård Hansen, CEO of INVISIO Communications.

“We have put a lot of effort into reducing size and weight while increasing performance and flexibility in terms of functionality and connectivity. We have also simplified the interface to include only what the soldier needs and nothing else”, he added.

Many countries' Armed Forces are implementing modernization programs, where soldiers are equipped with everything from new advanced technology to modern personal protection equipment. In the programs that include radio and communication solutions, it is now often a requirement with “in-ear headsets” and hearing protection, which correspond to INVISIOs offer. Currently there are an estimated 49 ongoing and upcoming programs in 38 countries, and a number of military procurements for communication equipment are expected to be conducted within the next three years.

The features of INVISIO V60 stem from INVISIO's leading technical know-how and market knowledge from delivering many thousands of proven mission critical communication systems to demanding users worldwide. With INVISIO V60, users get a highly flexible, lightweight system and a compact form factor. The unit is 50 percent smaller and lighter compared to most competitive products on the market. The simplicity and low weight is a big advantage for today's soldiers, who often face a significant burden, both cognitively and physically.

INVISIO V60 comes standard with the INVISIO X5 dual in-ear headset, which has the patented INVISIO Bone Conduction technology delivering crystal-clear, interference-free communication even under the most demanding and extreme conditions. The ability to communicate freely even under very high levels of noise is made possible as the technology in INVISIO's headsets are based on a microphone inside the ear that picks up speech from vibrations in the jawbone and converts them into sound.

INVISIO V60 supports connection to 4 separate communication sources, each of which can be routed to either side of the headset with variable sound amplification. The system has built-in hearing protection (SNR 32 dB and 29 dB NRR), and 360 degree natural hear-thru to help maintain full situational awareness. Communication sources that can be connected include among others radio, intercom, cell phone or computer. INVISIO V60 can also be connected with several different types of headset providing maximum flexibility for the modern soldier.

Furthermore, the device is submersible down to 20 meters depth, which also makes it extremely resistant to sand and dirt. Its light weight (145 grams) makes it floatable.

The INVISIO V60 was first unveiled at FSEC (Future Soldier Exhibition & Conference 2012; Prague; 17-19 October), and the AUSA (Washington, D.C.; 22-24 October). The product is available starting 2013.
