"Sales during the upcoming Bahrain International Airshow are expected exceed $5 billion", said a top government official.

Bahrain International Airshow will run from January 19 to 21 at Al Sakhir Airbase.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Personal Representative and Chairman of the Supreme Committee organizing the event, stressed the importance of inviting giant companies to take part in this show and providing them with incentives and facilities.

He was speaking at a meeting to discuss preparations for the event.

Companies who have confirmed their participation include Airbus, Gulf Stream, Bombardier, and Boeing.

Al Khalifa also asked the panel to invite official, military, civilian delegations from friendly and sisterly countries as well as business leaders and journalists from all over the world.

Plans to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors and safety procedures for civilian and military aircraft during the show were also discussed.
