His Majesty King Hamad bi Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of Bahrain’s Armed Forces, paid a visit Sunday, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), marking the 55th anniversary of the BDF.

Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

HM the King was also welcomed by the Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Noaimi, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Noimi, and a number of senior officers.

A band played the National Anthem in tribute to HM the King.

HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met senior officers, who extended to HM deepest congratulations on the BDF’s 55th anniversary, lauding HM King Hamad’s unwavering support for the BDF, and wishing HM continued success in leading the kingdom towards more progress and prosperity.

HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, expressed his congratulations and appreciation to all BDF officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen in Bahrain and abroad, as well as the citizens on this glorious national occasion.

HM the King expressed appreciation for the efforts being made by all the BDF affiliates to protect the national achievements. civilisation, security, and national unity with all competence and sincere determination, affirming that they are the protective shield of the homeland, and are always the source of pride. He added that the establishment of the BDF will always remain a milestone in the kingdom’s glorious history.

HM King Hamad asserted that the BDF’s achievements, distinguished work and good reputation have earned it the trust of citizens, as well as that of those of the Gulf Cooperation Council states and friendly countries.

“We always strive for peace. Bahrain is a pioneer in the region in all fields, and we are keen to maintain this status for our future generations,” HM the King said.

HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, expressed thanks to HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister for HRH’s unwavering support for the kingdom’s armed forces.

HM the King also paid tribute to the BDF chief for his ongoing efforts to develop the BDF, valuing highly the dedicated efforts exerted by all the BDF affiliates since its establishment.

HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, affirmed that the BDF is progressing steadily thanks to its brave personnel, citing its efforts to defend the nation’s security and sovereignty, support for the national development process in the health and housing fields, success in attaining landmark sports results at regional and global sporting gatherings, as well as contributions to the kingdom’s hosting of mega national and international events, including the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS).

HM King Hamad indicated that the Bahraini citizens have set the example in their perseverance and solid determination to achieve success, wishing everyone continued success.

HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was presented with a commemorative gift from HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister on the glorious national occasion.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister was also presented with gift from the BDF Chief on the same occasion.
