A batch of Bahrain Royal Guard cadet officers graduated during a ceremony which was held last week under the patronage of Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Major-General Hamad Khalifa Alnoaimi, Royal Guard Deputy Commander and other officers, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad commended the devotion of the graduates to serve the nation, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
He praised the standard of the scientific and practical course, which can qualify the soldier towards the highest levels of efficiency and competence, commending the graduates' military skills.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad thanked the instructors for their efforts to hone the graduates' professional skills, urging the cadet officers to spare no efforts to serve the nation and defend the homeland.
The National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander then distributed gifts to high-achievers. The graduates then took their oath.
For his part, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), inspected a BDF unit, as part of his continuous field follow-up of the ongoing modernisation in BDF’s branches and units.
He was briefed about the stages of the unit's development and training programmes.
The Commander-in-Chief affirmed that the BDF is moving forward in developing its defence systems and strengthening its military capabilities, noting that it is carrying out noble mission with efficiency, thanks to constant care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed appreciated the efforts of the BDF affiliates in defending the homeland, preserving its historical capabilities and protecting its civilisational gains.
