Bahrain’s King, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces Visits Defence Force General Command

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Armed Forces, visited Tuesday the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).

Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Commander of the Royal Guard’s Special Force, Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs and senior BDF staff.

The senior officers extended their sincere condolences to HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, over the loss of the fallen servicemen while performing their duty in defending the southern borders of Saudi Arabia as part of the Arab Coalition forces participating in Operation Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

HM King Hamad confirmed that the fallen servicemen demonstrated the most profound example of heroism and loyalty, following the path of honourable ancestors, expressing appreciation to countries which have extended their condolences and affirmed solidarity against this act of aggression.

HM the King prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the souls of the two fallen servicemen in eternal peace, grant their families patience and solace and the injured a speedy recovery.

HM the King expressed his appreciation for and pride in all the brave members of the BDF for their constant keenness to carry out their lofty national duties with courage and sincere determination.

His Majesty commended the BDF’s procedures and services to repatriate the bodies of the fallen servicemen and the injured. He also praised the role of the Royal Medical Services in providing medical care for the injured.
