His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, visited last week the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
His Royal Highness was received by the Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Defence, HE Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, and other Senior Officers.
His Royal Highness highlighted that the efforts of the BDF’s loyal personnel, as part of Team Bahrain, are appreciated by all, and have, alongside various allies, contributed to the region’s security and stability, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
His Royal Highness recognised the BDF personnel’s pivotal role in protecting the Kingdom’s and citizens’ interests and in safeguarding the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
His Royal Highness commended the BDF personnel’s courage, bravery, and steadfast determination to uphold the Kingdom’s honourable values, adding that the sacrifices of fallen servicemen will remain etched in the Kingdom’s history.
His Royal Highness was then briefed on the BDF’s current and future development plans and programmes that further combat readiness efficiency.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad concluded by extending his gratitude to the members of the Bahrain Defence Force, for their sacrifices and loyal service, which has safeguarded the Kingdom’s sovereignty, development, and wide-ranging achievements.
Meanwhile, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Vinod K. Jacob, the newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Bahrain.
Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs, and Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance Bahraini-Indian relations.
The Commander-in-Chief wished the Ambassador success in performing his new diplomatic duties.
Lastly, Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs, received Wednesday a staff delegation from the US Senate and House of Representatives. The meeting reviewed cooperation relations.
Lastly, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) paid an inspection visit Thursday to a BDF unit where he was briefed on its military preparedness, as well as its workflow.
The Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa said that the BDF continues the military development at various levels thanks to the constant care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, and the follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister.
The Commander-in-Chief lauded the honorable achievements of the BDF servicemen since its establishment, hailing the landmark accomplishments of its brave affiliates, and their tireless efforts to defend the Kingdom, and maintain its security and stability.
