Egypt’s Air Defense College Organizes Third International Telecommunication Conference (ITC-Egypt 2023)

Within the framework of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ interest in raising the scientific and research level and providing all means for the various groups of society, to unleash the talents of innovation and creativity in various scientific fields, the Air Defense College organized the Third International Telecommunication Conference (ITC-Egypt 2023).

Many senior scholars, specialists and researchers in the field of Communications systems and information technology from various Egyptian and international Universities, as well as technical support from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), one of the most prominent international scientific organization in the fields of engineering, took part in the conference.

The opening session began with a speech by Professor Dr. Yahya Antar, the Honorary President of the conference, during which he welcomed the attendees. He also explained the various activities and events taking place in the conference, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Major General Ehab El-Fayoumi, Deputy Director of the Egyptian Military Academy for the Air Defense College, emphasized the full support and care given by the General Command of the Armed Forces to the research and technological work system for the cadets of the Air Defense College, to graduate cadres capable of innovation and absorbing the tremendous scientific development, according to the latest modern technological systems.

Lieutenant General Mohamed Hegazy, Commander of the Air Defense Forces, delivered a speech during which he conveyed the greetings and appreciation of General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the attendees.

He also pointed to the importance of the conference, which contributes to providing a suitable environment for launching scientific innovations and learning about the latest global systems in various scientific and technological fields. This comes within the framework of the directives of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to get great concern to scientific research, develop innovations, and sponsor researchers to achieve the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2030.

The conference included several scientific lectures, which are lectured by specialized professors in the field of communications, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, holding a number of dialogue sessions for senior scholars in the fields of communications, and implementing a number of workshops in the fields of satellites and modern radar systems, as well as reviewing a number of research papers by a group of specialized scientists.

On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition of graduation projects and research ideas, praised by various levels of attendance, submitted by students of Egyptian and international universities and schools, as well as cadets of the Air Defense College.

The closing session witnessed honoring a number of scholars participating in the conference, as well as the best research papers, and the best projects, after being selected by the specialized scientific committees.

The conference activities were attended by a number of Commanders of the Armed Forces, a number of military attachés accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the President of Damanhour University, and a number of representatives of various Egyptian Ministries and Universities. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
