General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, accompanied by Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Head of the Egyptian Military Academy, and a number of Armed Forces Commanders, inspected the steps of selecting cadets applying for the Egyptian Military Academy at the headquarters of the Military Academy, which comes within the framework of the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to follow up admission procedures.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces listened to a detailed presentation that included the current status of admission tests for applicants to select the best elements to join the Armed Forces, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

He also inspected the work cycle within the Admission Office and the Medical Commission committees, followed by visiting the physical fitness tests, swimming, and confidence jump, during which physical abilities are evaluated to select the best elements based on the standard criteria set for enrollment. He further discussed a number of applicants about the tests they underwent during the various stages. He praised the positive results obtained by applicants, in light of the strong competition, that enable them to obtain the honor of joining the Armed Forces.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also indicated that the final admission result, the first and last criterion, is the student’s capabilities and his ability to pass the tests with the highest grades prescribed for each test. He also indicated that there is no room for any other factors in the tests. He recommended not to pay attention to rumors of mediation and favoritism. He also asked the applicants to work diligently and prepare well by raising their cultural, cognitive and physical level, wishing good luck and success to all applicants.

At the conclusion of the inspection tour, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces thanked those in charge and supervisors of the admission tests and the Admission Office for following all advanced scientific procedures and methods, that enable achieving the principle of equality, transparency and integrity, to accurately select the best advanced elements.
