Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Sunday, visited the Habis Al Majali Fourth Royal Guard Mechanised Battalion, one of the units of the Eastern Military Zone, where he was received by its Commander Brigadier General Nji Manaseer.
Huneiti also visited the Prince Hassan Fourth Mechanized Battalion and the Imam Ali 8th Mechanized Battalion, two of the units of the Northern Military Zone, where he was received by its Acting Commander Brigadier General Talal Odwan.
Huneiti listened to a briefing on operational, training and logistic issues concerning the two military zones, Petra news agency reported.
Huneiti conveyed greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army to his comrades-in-arms, praising their efforts in implementing their duties.
For his part, the Acting Mufti of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army highlighted the importance and role of the border guards, who have dedicated themselves to protecting the borders from any endeavors intended to undermine the security of the homeland, intimidate its citizens, and destabilize the security and stability of the Kingdom.
Earlier, Huneiti joined the Central Military Zone personnel in performing Eid al-Adha prayer on Saturday, where he was received by their commander Brigadier General Abdullah Huneiti.
The Army Chief listened to Eid sermon delivered by a representative of the Mufti of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.
The representative said that said that the Arab Army is the carrier of Islam message which closely connects the Arab Army with the Islamic holy sites.
In this context, Huneiti visited the Borders Control Department, where he was received by its Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Khlifat.
Huneiti listened to a briefing on operational, training and logistic issues concerning the Central Military Zone and the Borders Control Department.
