A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and Beirut Arab University at the Army’s Command headquarters.
The Memorandum included a protocol of academic collaboration and providing facilitations to troops on active duty and retirement, as well as the as well as the families of martyred soldiers.
The agreement was signed between the LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun and the President of the University Dr. Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, in the presence of Army officers and a delegation of the University administration.
General Aoun expressed his appreciation to the University for this initiative. For his part, Dr. Abdel Salam affirmed that the University highly appreciates the efforts of the Army in preserving security and stability in Lebanon, the Lebanese Army said in a statement.
Beirut Arab University (BAU) is located in the heart of Beirut and has three other campuses in Debbieh, Tripoli and Bekaa
In another development, the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarze the Head of Mission and Commander of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon, Lieutenant General Aroldo Lázaro, as well as the Director of United Nations Operations, William Blanchard.
