Commander of UK’s Joint Expeditionary Force Meets Top Omani Chiefs

Major General Matter bin Salim al-Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’a (photo) Major General Stuart Skeates and his accompanying delegation, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

The meeting exchanged viewpoints and discussed a number of military matters of common concern, as well as the joint Swift Sword 3 

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Salim bin Saif al-Hosni, Director General of Operations and Training at the RAO Command and the Military Attaché at the UK Embassy in Muscat.

Furthermore, Lt. General Ahmed bin Harith Al-Nabhani, Chief-of- Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) also received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’a (photo) Major General Stuart Skeates, Commander of the UK Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by Air Commodore Maktum bin Salim al-Mazrou’ee, SAF Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Training and Joint Practice, a number of senior COSAF officers and the Military Attaché at the UK Embassy in Muscat.

Both meetings exchanged viewpoints and discussed a number of military matters of common concern, as well as the joint Swift Sword 3 Exercise, to be executed during the second half of this month, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
