Joint Commander of French Forces in Indian Ocean Visits Sultanate of Oman

Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Tuesday Rear Admiral Jacques Fayard, Joint Commander of the French Forces in the Indian Ocean (photo).

The two sides exchanged views and discussed several military matters of common interest, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

Meanwhile, Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hamad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) also received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Rear Admiral Jacques Fayard, Joint Commander of the French Forces in the Indian Ocean. The two sides discussed several matters of common interest.

For his part, Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) also received the visiting Joint Commander of the French Forces in the Indian Ocean.

The two sides exchanged views and discussed several naval matters of common interest. The meeting was attended by Commodore Jassim Mohammed Al Balushi, RNO Director of Operations and Plans.

 The Military Attaché at the French Embassy in Muscat attended all three meetings.
