Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Tuesday Commodore Mishal Jaber Al Khalifa, Commander of the Unified Maritime Operation Centre (UMOC).
The two sides exchanged views on a number of maritime issues. They also discussed means of enhancing cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Commodore Jassim Mohammed Al Balushi, RNO Director of Operations and Plans, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Earlier, the Commander of the Unified Maritime Operation Centre and his accompanying delegation visited Monday the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
Upon his arrival, the guest was greeted by the Acting Head of the MSC and was briefed on the roles and tasks carried out by the Centre in maintaining the safety of the maritime environment. He also toured the Centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies that are used in carrying out its national duties.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) also received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Rear Admiral Ko Seung-bum, Commander of the Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151) and his accompanying delegation.
During this meeting, the two sides discussed several matters of mutual interest. The meeting was attended by Commodore Jassim Mohammed Al Balushi, RNO Director of Operations and Plans.
Moreover, the Commander of CTF-151 and his accompanying delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre.
