General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Sultanate of Oman’s Royal Office, received Wednesday Major General Yousef Al Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation. They also discussed regional matters of common concern, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Sultanate of Oman.
Moreover, Jordan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and his accompanying delegation were received by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, SAF Chief of Staff in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison (photo).
Upon the guest’s arrival at the COSAF, he was accorded an official welcoming ceremony.
During this meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several matters of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamid Abdullah Al Balushi, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and the Military Attaché of the Jordanian Embassy in Muscat.
Lastly, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and his accompanying delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
During the visit, the guests were accompanied by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
Upon their arrival at the Centre, the Jordanian guests were greeted by Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and Chairman of the Maritime Security Committee. They were also greeted by Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the MSC.
The guest and his accompanying delegation were briefed about the MSC’s role in maintaining maritime security.
