Pakistan is participating in a big way at the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference 2012 (DIMDEX 2012; 26-29 March 2012 Qatar National Convention Centre).

“This year, the Pakistan Navy is again participating in this exhibition with the maximum number of warships,” an official spokesman said.

The ships attending the event are the PNS Babur, the PNS Madadgar and the PNS Shujaat.

In addition to the ships, delegations led by the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral M Asif Sandila and Maritime Security Agency Director General Rear Admiral Waseem Akram are also participating in the exhibition and conference as guests of the Qatar Armed Forces.

For the first time at DIMDEX, the maritime-related defense industry of Pakistan is also displaying its products, which include the stalls of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS & EW).

On show are Pakistan’s capabilities in warship design and construction, Global Industrial Defense Solutions (GIDS), sophisticated naval sensors and other defense products.
