Milipol Qatar has announced 4 Headline Sponsors for its upcoming 2012 exhibition in Doha.

From October 8 to 10, the Qatar Exhibition Centre will be the venue for Milipol Qatar 2012, organised by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior. This will be the 9th edition of this leading international event, which is a technological showcase for innovative products and services in the public and industrial security sectors, and helps to shape internal security policy in the Gulf and beyond.

The high-profile nature of the event has attracted equally high-profile sponsors. The Main Official Sponsor is Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. WLL, another prestigious local automotive distributor, also with a history of achievement and excellence stretching back to the 1950s. It is the country’s exclusive and official importers of Lexus and Toyota automobiles to Qatar.

The Diamond Sponsorship package has been taken up by Qatar Petroleum. The state-owned corporation was established in 1974, and is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in Qatar.

The Platinum Sponsor of Milipol Qatar is Saleh Alhamad Almana Co.  The company, established over 50 years ago, is one of the leading automotive distributors in the region and the sole distributor of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault brands in Qatar. It is known not only for its superb vehicles, but also for business excellence and customer service.

The GET Group has taken up the Official Sponsorship package. GET is a world leader in Passport, ID and IT solutions and applications serving core governmental programs, with projects and customers on five continents.

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior have partnered with Milipol to make the exhibition possible and made it their policy to provide a warm welcome to everyone from the region - and beyond - attending the event. Thousands of visitors and media professionals are expected at the venue to see the hundreds of exhibitors. Numerous security companies from Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are signed up to exhibit alongside companies from Europe and the US in what remains the region’s premier internal security showcase.

Milipol’s Director of Security Events, Michael Weatherseed, commented: “Levels of global economic and industrial activity remain stagnant, but the internal security industry, especially in the Gulf, is a boom industry at present”.

“Internal State and private security opportunities exist in Qatar due to the $75 billion infrastructure developments taking place there, and their attendant security requirements, but they also exist across the Middle East as a whole, where the market continues to grow strongly. Milipol Qatar 2012 is going to prove the most productive and successful event of its type anywhere in the region and we’re looking forward to getting underway in a couple of months’ time,” he added.
