Qatar’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah met here on Tuesday Anne W. Patterson, the Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Senate Foreign Relations Committee (photo), now visiting Doha.

They discussed a range of issues of joint interest. 

US Ambassador to Qatar HE Susan Ziadeh attended the meeting, as did a number of ranking officers at the armed forces.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi also met on Tuesday with visiting Director General of General Security Directorate of Lebanon Major General Abbas Ibrahim. 

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation in issues of common interest.
