Airbus Group Addresses Qatar’s Maritime Security Coastal & Border Surveillance Conference

Airbus Group is participating in the annual Qatar Maritime Security Coastal and Border Surveillance Conference (QMARSEC) in Doha on 14 and 15 October 2014.

Now in its second year, QMARSEC is a high-profile conference designed to cover the most pressing maritime and coastal security issues. These include: the emerging threats facing civilian and military maritime communities; protecting vital economic, transport and distribution chains; port, harbor and coastal security; and maritime surveillance operations.

Hosted by the Qatar National Security Shield Project (NSS), the conference is expected to attract leading naval experts and leaders from coast guards, international military organizations, critical national infrastructure authorities, customs and border agencies as well as industry bodies and research organizations from Qatar, the Gulf region and international players.

Habib Fekih, President, Airbus Group Africa and Middle East, said: “Maritime security continues to be a key focus for the Middle East and as pioneers of the increasingly advanced technology, we have had the opportunity to work with the region’s governments and private sector companies to ensure they have the best possible resources.”
