Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met with Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu (photo) and his accompanying delegation in Doha on Thursday.
The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation, as well as the means to enhance them. The meeting was attended by Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces HE Staff Major-General (Navy) Abdullah Hassan Al Sulaiti, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Earlier, HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met with the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun in Doha on Monday.
The meeting discussed issues of common concern, as well as aspects of cooperation between the two sides and ways of enhancing them.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces HE Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit and senior officials and officers from both sides.
General Aoun presented the difficulties facing the military institution and its essential needs in the context of its commitment to its national duty, the Lebanese Army said in a statement.
General Aoun also met with the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, and the discussions revolved around developing cooperation between the Qatari and Lebanese Armies, especially in the field of training. (QNA; Lebanese Army; Photo © QNA)
