Qatar, Bahrain Defence Ministers Receive Dutch Counterpart

Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met with Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren (photo) and her accompanying delegation in Doha on Monday.

During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest and reviewed cooperation between the two sides and the ways to support and develop them.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials and officers from both sides, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

For his part, Qatar’s Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani also met Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren and her accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed several topics of mutual interest and reviewed cooperation between the two countries in the security fields and the ways to develop them.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Defence Affairs, also received the Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, upon her arrival at Bahrain International Airport on Monday evening following her visit to Qatar, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said in a brief statement.

For his part, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Tuesday Kajsa Ollongren, Minister of Defence of the Netherlands.

Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, were present.

The Commander-in-Chief praised the Bahrain-Netherlands relations, which are growing steadily in various domains.
