ADNEC Awards Key Contributors to IDEX

ADNEC hosted a ceremonial dinner at the Al Maa’red Wedding hall of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre last Sunday night in honour of the UAE Armed Forces as well as key institutions involved in the successful conduct of IDEX 2011.
Held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company), the event included an awards ceremony during which key federal and local authorities, committees and others who made important contributions to the success of the 10th anniversary of IDEX were recognised.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Major General Obaid Al Ketbi, Head of Committees and Official Spokesperson of IDEX 2011; H.E. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, ADNEC’s Managing Director; as well as Heads of various IDEX committees, and a number of senior representatives from public and private sector institutions involved in the show.
IDEX 2011, which was held from February 20 to 24, 2011, was a stunning success attracting more than 60,000 local and international visitors. Major defence deals were signed, and the latest global defence technologies were showcased. The event also proved to be an excellent networking platform for defence ministers, military officials and the defence industry in general.
