The Gulf leaders will also review regional and global developments, Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani said. Religious scholars have called on the leaders to seriously consider a fully-fledged union.
During Friday’s prayers, they said Gulf nationals are yearning for unity and integration, enabling them to face dangers surrounding them on all sides together and delaying the declaration of GCC union is not in their favor.
They warned against threats posed by Iran and its ‘evil allies’ and said it is the right time for GCC union.
