Mohammed Attends 20th Batch Graduation Ceremony

Earlier this week, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the graduation ceremony of the 20th batch of Command and Staff Officers at the Joint Command and Staff College in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was also present at the ceremony.

Shortly after his arrival, Sheikh Mohammed inspected the guards of honor and greeted the graduates.
In his inaugural speech, Staff Major General Pilot Rashad Salem Al Saadi, Commander of the Staff College, welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, thanking him for his sponsorship and attendance.

Al Saadi said that the graduating Officers and the Armed Forces derive their inspiration from the support of the UAE higher leadership headed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, pledging the allegiance to the nation and its prudent leadership.

He also underlined that the protection of the country and national gains top the priorities of the Armed Forces, calling on the officers to equip themselves with good conduct, courage and far sightedness to protect the security of the UAE.

Colonel Khaled Juma Al Qattan from the College of Commanders and Joint Staff briefed Sheikh Mohammed and the audience about the 20th batch which comprises 91 graduates.

Following the speech, Sheikh Mohammed flanked by the College’s Commander distributed awards and certificates to the graduates, congratulating them on their success and their pursuit of excellence in serving the armed forces. He urged them to continue to gain knowledge and keep abreast of the latest in military sciences, training, and acquiring all needed skills and expertise.

The ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Surur bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, as well as other Sheikhs, senior military and civilian officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
