The UAE and Omani leaders praised bonds of brotherhood and friendship linking their peoples as strong and solid.
They underscored their commitment to leverage these relations to meet aspirations of the peoples of the two countries for integration and cooperation.
These views were expressed by the UAE President, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said during talks at Al Rawdha Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was also attended by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
During the talks, the two leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gulf, Arab and international arena and matters of mutual concern.
As he welcomed the Omani leader to the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa said his visit to his second home is a source of pride for the people of the UAE and signals an important leverage for further consolidating bonds of brotherhood and friendship. “The UAE harbors profound respect and esteem to the leadership and people of Oman,” Sheikh Khalifa said, wishing Oman more progress and prosperity under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos.
Highlighting the depth and strength of the close, historic ties, Sheikh Khalifa said the spirit of joint cooperation and coordination prevails in all fields.
Sheikh Khalifa said the Omani leader’s visit demonstrates the ideal model of close cooperation between the GCC member states for serving mutual interests, securing decent life and delivering prosperity to their peoples.
Sultan Qaboos of Oman said he was delighted at visiting the UAE and meeting with Sheikh Khalifa. He said the UAE-Oman ties would see steady progress in the coming days thanks to Sheikh Khalifa’s determination to cementing these relations and leveraging them to new heights of joint cooperation for the best interest of the two countries and their peoples.
