UAE Vice President and, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has met on Tuesday, at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Brazilian Vice President Michel Temer.

The meeting was attended by UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mohammed and his Brazilian counterpart exchanged talks over ways of enhancing ties of cooperation in the investment, tourism, culture and other key sectors that contribute in bridging distance between the people of the two friendly counties.

Sheikh Mohammed and Mr. Temer also witnessed a ceremony for signing a joint military and defense cooperation under which the UAE and Brazil will exchange experiences, training and other military related activities.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed signed the agreement on behalf of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Celso Amorim, Brazil’s Defense Minister, signed for his country.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi,  Director General of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director of the Office of the Vice-President Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid AI Fattan, Director General of Dubai Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, UAE Ambassador to Brazil Sultan bin Rashid Al Kaitoob and a number of UAE and Brazilian senior officials. sheikhmohammed.co.ae

Earlier, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, met with the President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, as part of an official visit to Latin America which also included Mexico, Chile and Argentina.
