FLIR Systems announced the opening of our new office and support facility in Abu Dhabi. Signifying its dedication to exceptional service and customer support, the opening of this facility is an important step in FLIR’s ongoing commitment to the support of programs in the UAE and other states in the Arabian Gulf region.

The new state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in the New Ministries complex in Al Muntazah near Khalifa Park.  Fully equipped to facilitate briefings and product demonstrations, it features dedicated spaces for operator training and product service and maintenance. An initial staff of eight will support business development, product support, field service engineering, and product training roles.

“FLIR remains strongly committed to providing cutting edge support for the missions and security of the UAE and other Gulf states. By opening the new Abu Dhabi office, FLIR is continuing to demonstrate its dedication to customers in the region,” said Kevin Tucker, General Manager of FLIR’s Surveillance division.

FLIR has maintained facilities in the Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA) for over 15 years, recognizing that strong local presence is crucial to facilitating business in the UAE and elsewhere in the region. With the expanding business base, FLIR has decided to further grow its local footprint to improve customer support and communication.

“The importance of the UAE and the region cannot be over-emphasized. In establishing this office, we are recognizing that importance and fulfilling a goal of increasing long-term commitment to our customers in the region,” said Steve Williams, Vice President for Global Sales for FLIR’s Surveillance division.
