Janus Global Operations (JGO), an international stability operations company, has opened an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to manage the company’s commercial and government client operations in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
The office will serve as JGO’s regional hub, said Alan Weakley, JGO President and Chief Operating Officer.
“Dubai’s location makes it a great fit for our expanding work in the region. We’re constantly evaluating how to ensure rapid response to any client need, anywhere it's needed. Our Dubai office will be a great asset to our clients,” Weakley said.
The Dubai regional hub will coordinate JGO’s work for commercial clients and the U.S. and foreign governments. The office will be the administrative center for JGO’s services: risk management and maritime consultancy; munitions response; demining; intelligence support; communications; life support; and others.
Two examples of JGO’s commercial work are clearing areas selected in former conflict areas for oil exploration of landmines or unexploded ordnance and conducting risk management for companies in sensitive or potentially dangerous environments.
JGO is the world’s largest demining company, in addition to its other services.
In addition to the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, JGO has operations in North America and Europe.
JGO has more than 7,000 employees working in multiple countries.
