Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs, has discussed with Marillyn A. Hewson, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation, ways to enhance co-operation in training, science, technology, engineering and aviation, and qualify the distinguished national cadres to be able to lead the aviation industry and compete globally.

 

This came on the sidelines of the Global Aerospace Summit 2018, which is taking place from 30th April to 2nd May, 2018, in Abu Dhabi at the St. Regis hotel on Saadiyat Island.

 

The two sides emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and information in the aviation and defense industries and the need to keep up with the most important research related to the development of local industries that meet the trade needs so as to support the requirements of the national economy in the future, according to UAE national news agency WAM.

 

Major-General Staff Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alawi, Commander of Air Force and Air Defense, and other senior military officials attended the meeting.

 

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 100,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
